Men (or boys) Pay attention:

I got sent this be email today and thought it needed to be shared as most of it is so so so true. Adam - there are only a few notes for your attention in purple ha ha ha ha. :o)

This was written by a guy who has years of experience. Believe you me, most of them are true about girls....
1. Whatever you do, don't just show up at her house...she runs around in her underwear just like we do.
2. DON'T CHEAT ON HER. It may seem foolproof, but girls tell each other everything about everything. Trust me, she WILL find out and you will be mud.
3. Beware of every single male relative and all guy friends. Any of them would kick your ass at the drop of a hat, and a lot of them wouldn't even wait for the damn hat.
4. Never miss an opportunity to tell her she's beautiful.
5. Don't refuse to kiss her in front of your friends. If they laugh at you, it's just because they're jealous.
6. If she slaps you hard, you deserved it.
7. Don't be afraid to touch her if you want to. If she's going out with you in the first place, it's because she likes being in your arms.
8. If you don't sleep with her, DON'T tell your friends that you did.
8.5 If you DO sleep with her, DON'T tell your friends that you did.
9. You can be dirty minded in private, really...most of them are not offended by it...
10. Not all of them eat like birds, a lot of them can eat like whales.
11. Most of them don't mind paying half of everything, but they do discuss these things with their friends. Realize that if you make your girlfriend pay half all the time, everyone will know about it and your friends will know you're a wimp..
11.5 Do you honestly need all your money that much? Be a man, pay all the time!
12. Every girl should eventually get three things from her boyfriend- a stuffed animal (this is the only one I havent got yet!), one of his sweatshirts, and a really pretty ring. Even if it's not a serious relationship.
13. Make sure she gets home safely as often as you can. If you're dropping her off, walk her to the door. If you aren't dropping her off, call to be sure she's home safely.
14. If a guy is bothering her, it is your right to beat the living cr*p out of him.
15. If you're talking to a female friend of yours, pull your girlfriend closer.
16. Never, EVER slap her, even if it's just in a joking way. Even if she swats you first, and says, "Oh, you're so dumb" or something, never make any gestures back.
17. Go to a chick flick once in a while. She doesn't care whether you enjoy it or not, it just matters that you went. *cough cough* Adam - are you paying attention? xoxo
18. You're dead meat if you can't get along with their pets, parents, and best friends. Be prince charming to their friends, Mr. Polite to their parents and make sure to be nice to their animals.
19. Don't flirt with their moms...that's just freaky.
20. Don't be freaked out by PMS/Periods. It's not gross, and it really does make them feel like cr*p, so be understanding.
21. If you don't like the way they drive, you do it.
22. If you're officially dating, and you're introducing her to your friends, you'd better damn well introduce her as your girlfriend.
23. Don't stress where you go for every date. They really only want to be with you.
24. If they complain that something hurts, rub it for them without being asked.
25. Girls are fragile. Even if you're play fighting/wrestling, be very gentle. <--another one for you Ads :o) Ive still got a bruise from last time.
26. Memorize their god damn birthdays. You forget her birthday and you're basically screwed for life.
27. Don't marinade the cologne, but smell good.
28. Don't give her something stupid for her birthday or Christmas or Valentine's day. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it has to be meaningful. Jewelry is always nice. ( not applicable for all)
29. If you think the relationship isn't going to last, don't wait to find out. It will only hurt you more if you draw it out.
30. After you've been dating for a while, realize that they really have started to trust you. When you have a girlfriend who truly trusts you, you have a lot more responsibility, privilege and control than you would think. Be careful with it, most guys would kill for that kind of power, and it can be lost in a nanosecond.

Valentines Day

Its the 15th today and I am still waiting for the flowers to arrive, the Courier van mine were on must have got stuck in some really bad traffic!! ha ha.
We went out for dinner last night to Mai Thai restaurant in the city and it was lovely. We went there for the first time with Adams friend Lyndsay from England last year. We also went to the movies and saw Fun with Dick and Jane. I really felt sorry for the people sitting around us as we both have really unusual laughs and we were laughing the whole way through the movie.
We were talking over dinner last night and the topic of our anniversary came up, it will be our 2 year anniversary on the 21st of August, neither of us can believe that we have been together for that long, time sure has flown by.
The computer at home still hates me so I havent been able to load anymore pictures but will try again this week before we go away.

Damn Computers

I tried so desperately hard to add more photos last night but our laptop at home HATES ME! and I actually think it does, it has some sort of personal vendetta against me. I dont know why though, I'm very nice to it when its working, I dont do mean things like Adam does such as "defragging" the hard drive which sounds awful. Adam has been set the task to talk nicely to it today and plead with it to work by the time I get home or it will be left on the road to play with the cars or perhaps dropped from a 10th floor balcony, I'm still working on the exact details of its demise mwuhahahaha <--evil laugh.
We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card, We got a credit card!! My first credit card and all I can say is "Thank God one of us is responsible with money" Thats Adam by the way!!!!! I can see it now. Credit Card maxes out, Pay it off with Farmers Store Card, then pay of Farmers store card with Visa then do it all over again until we win lotto!

Go Atheism

I have just spent some time clicking through other peoples blogs. (at the top of the page you will see a button that says "Next Blog"). What I noticed was out of the 15 or so blogs I saw, 1 for a university class, 1 knitting blog, 1 quilting blog, 2 gay blogs and the remainder were christian blogs. I am not opposed to religion as long as I dont have to have anything to do with it, go for gold I say but dont try to convert me. Billy Connelly once wisely and humourously said "As an Athiest do I knock on peoples doors and ask them to give up believing in anything?".

It interests me to see a public rise in christianity in a society where scientific advances and discoveries are being made at such a tremendous rate. Doesnt it seem odd that people still believe in something for which there is no proof? It does to me. I have seem advertisements for flatmates (roomies, sharehouse tenants) that state "Christian Flatmate Wanted". Can you imagine what would happen if I placed and ad asking specifically for a Non Christian, I have a sneaking suspicion that this would create some trouble in this day and age of overbearing political correctness. As long as we act with respect, tolerance, as long as we are polite, thoughtful and stick to our own values then why do we need a church or "God" to tell us what we already know we should be doing?

Stuff

Bailey is our completely stroppy but very smart Schnauzer in the above photo. There's another photo from Christmas Day, From left to right is my Mum (Deb), Myself, My Brother (Ryan) at the back, Dad (Rod) and Adam at the front.

Adam and I are at Mum & Dads house and dog sitting this weekend while they are in Whitianga for the long weekend (Waitangi Day on Monday). This is the day that all of us get a holiday because the Maoris and the English signed a bit of paper a while back known as the Treaty of Waitangi.

We spent the day at the Zoo today, My absolute favourite place in Auckland. It's a sure fire way to bring out the inner child in me (not that it's hard to do that!!)

BORED

Boredom is taking its hold at the moment so thankfully some good news has come our way this week. We are going to Papamoa/Mount Maunganui for 4 days on the 18th of this month, never been, quite nice apparently.

Also, the best news ever. KANYE WEST will be in Auckland performing at the St James on the 16th March. This is quite exciting as I bought Adam tickets to De La Soul for the weekend after, which would have been his first concert, however, now we are going to Kanye aswell and potentially the U2 concert (supported by Kanye) on St Paddys day. The excitement can hardly be contained.

I know there haven't been anymore photos yet and I apologise to those out there (especially Adams family xo), that I havent got my butt into gear and put anymore on. I promise it will be soon.

New Addition to the Family

Hi All,
The newest member of the family arrived on Friday the 27th January at 3.30pm. Weighing in with a 2.2 litre engine, electric windows, power steering, air conditioning and built in security system!!! oh yes, we finally have our new car. His name is Andy (yes, our cars get named. The current Toyota is called Tina) and he is a 1999 Toyota Camry. Finally I can stop hitching rides to work with strange men or having to perform tricks for Sharelle's pleasure in order to get a lift with her!! ha ha
