Busy Bee

Hi All

Been extremely busy with work and studying, and it's getting to that time of the year when things start to get really hectic with XMAS barbeques and parties! Had a 21st to go to last Saturday, haven't been to one for a few years so was great fun, rolled into bed at about 5.30am Sunday morning and only had 3 hours sleep before getting up to face the mess and the hangover.

Work is still dull with most of my time spent avoiding all the purchase orders and barcodes that I have to create, feeling like a "The Office" moment (and not the shit American one, the proper English one) where Tim puts Gareths stapler in a jelly. That cracks me up.

this is just a really quick post to say......ADAM HAS NZ RESIDENCY!

The nagging paid off and we got the letter in the mail yesterday after I spoke to our case manager Heather Grounsell on Tuesday.

We are both extremely excited and will sort out a day to have a residency party. So stay tuned.

Hi all,

Sorry for being so slack lately. Things have been pretty good with us, as usual, not much happening. I've started a web design course through the open polytech and all is going well in week 2. Looking at some of the assignments though and really hoping that we learn some more stuff soon as I have NNOOOO idea what they are on about!

Expecting a call from our immigration case manager today. I've been calling every month to check up on things and finally got someone that said they would email Heather (our case manager) and get her to call us. Fingers are tightly crossed. Need to know if we are saving money for return flights or one way flights to England.

Christmas is 47 sleeps away (or 2 pay days). Quite excited about getting the XMAS tree and lights up. Adam says it's just not the same as an English XMAS. He still thinks it's weird that it's warm and light until 9pm. Oh well, XMAS is XMAS!

Haven't spoken to a few people for a while, and must get in touch this week, or you can drop me a line using the email link on the right hand side of the screen.
