Immigration craziness...

Another day...

I know I've been incredibly lazy of late with my posts. We've been quite busy, social butterflys you could say! Quiz Nights, comedy nights, poker nights, dinners, cat sitting, house sitting, dog sitting.
Work is still driving me to drink on a daily basis. It's almost tempting to papercut myself in order to make the days more interesting. Hopefully things will start to pick up as we build up to my boss going on maternity leave. Who knows!
Still nothing from immigration. Will post an article that I found in the paper which makes the whole process that we are going through a tremendous joke. No wonder it's so hard for legitimate applicants to get through the system. That's all i'm going to say on that one. I really feel sorry for our local MP if Adam gets declined becuase we will be bugging the crap out of him.

Almost 1000 hits!

Well, not far away from 1000 hits on the site. Granted, most of them have probably been me checking on my template and html changes but nevermind - there are others, I know there are! The new site counter gives me stats on where in the world my visitors are from. So far we have, New Zealand (obviously), Australia, Canada (shout out to Rhian, Gary & the kids!), England (hi Bob, Alice, Sarah, Lianne & Beaulah.).
Now the mission is to get as many more countries on the list before we hit the 1000 visitor mark, so forward this to all of your friends in weird & wonderful places and lets see what we can do.

The Z Spot Blog

You have to check out this blog I've found. Lots of funny video clips (including Arrested Development, thats right folks, Arrested Development!) and pics as well as totally useless facts...did you know that the glue on israel stamps is certified kosher? No? well neither did I until I stumbled onto this blog. Go check it out...you know you want to.

Just to prove that we've done it. I know everyone will be soooooo proud, especially our parents!! Ha Ha

Cheetahs...

As you can see, we went to the Zoo on Saturday to meet the new Cheetahs. Both of the boys are named after egyptian gods and are called Osiris and Anubis. It was ABSOLUTELY the BEST thing I have ever done and would gladly pay the $95 each again to do it. They are just so beautiful and purr like household cats but you can feel the vibration all the way through their body! Their fur is quite coarse in general but the black spots themselves are very very soft and fine.
A lot of the money goes back into the Zoos conservation fund and allows them to send donations to places like Cheetah Outreach all over the world.

100 Pints and a Monday Hangover...

The milestone was acheived yesterday afternoon at around 5.30pm. I was feeling good at that stage. 100 pints down, a T shirt to commemorate and the knowledge that from now on the bank balance won't take as much of a hammering.
This morning I have regrets. I have a headache, a gurgling somersaulting stomach and a bizarre penchant for ice cold water. After the 100th pint we invited Dion (the bar manager) and Lainey (one of the bar staff), both new found friends, back to our place for dinner. That was fine. It was the drinking marathon that lasted until the wee hours of the morning that was the problem. King of the ring, 3 Man and Mexi was the order of the evening and we were all spurred on by the copious amounts of vodka and the will to get everyone else more drunk than ourselves.
Today I am vowing not to drink for the rest of the month.
