Barclays Premiership...

The 2006/2007 season hasn't started well for the 2005/2006 hopefuls. A 2-0 points score has been popular across the 3 games played however only 1 of the 3 has been a victory for the team. A dissapointing loss for the Spurs against Bolton in their first game did get them geared up for a win against Sheffield 3 days later. Sadly an unlucky "wrong place, wrong time" deflection off Davenport from an Everton corner resulted in an own goal which gave Everton the confidence to score another in their first win at the lane since 1989.

Saturday the 9th September sees the team taking on Man United away from home. Good Luck Lads....we're thinking of you.

Apparently it can get worse...

...Sunday night saw approx 7 police cars patrolling our street (basically right outside our apartment block) looking for a car thief. This was after the car chase had already taken place in front of our house, he had ditched the car and was on foot. They finally found him 2 houses up the road hiding in the backyard of someones house, set the dogs on him then took him away....disturbingly close to home.

In the Hood...

...Beginning to realise that the street we live in is slowly becoming an area that not even convicted murderers woud live in. Recently (in the last 2 months), the dairy/corner store has bee robbed at knifepoint twice, a car stolen from the real estate agents carpark, a car dumped in the building lot across the road, and prostitutes and their pimps have been kicked out of the local carpark twice.

I used to live next door to the Mongrel Mob several years ago and I swear that that area was a hell of a lot safer that the one that we are in now. It's not even that where we are now is a "bad" area. Its just the becuase they havent finished all of the developments and houses that it's a little exposed at the moment.

Im sure we'll be fine....it can only get better right???
