Pictures

The top photo is from a Vodafone Awards night we went to. It was about midnight, we were quite drunk (hence why I look absolutely terrible) and were sitting at Oportos to make a last ditch effort at preventing the inevitable hangover. As usual Adam felt fine the next day.
The other is Mum checking out the kitchen/lounge/dining room/family room of one of the apartments before we moved - Hi Mum.

The Move

The big move mostly went off without a hitch. Big big thanks to the helpers! Yay for Martin, Sharelle and Pa. Getting things to the third floor without a lift was an experience that I never want again, We are definitely paying someone to do it next time!! We were all kind of hoping that the bed didnt fit through the stairwell so we could work out our plan of hoisting it up to our apartment with a complex system of ropes and pulleys (or stealing the construction workers cherry picker for a few hours!).
Our flatmate went a bit mad the week before we moved and decided to go against his word and not pay back all of the bond money until we had moved out "in case anything happened the weekend we moved out". We have been living with this guy for at least a year and a half (Adam for 2 years), we know each others families, we go to each others birthday dinners, we bought household things together it was basically a relationship with another couple! So I "calmly" pointed this out to him that evening telling him that I was upset about the lack of trust etc etc etc. Cutting a long story short we did end up getting all the money back the next day but it has completely ruined the friendship for now. I may get over that bridge in a while but not yet.
Work is getting busy again with the new season orders being processed and mountains of fabric turning up for testing so heads down, bum up at the moment. Still "patiently" waiting on immigration to let us know what (or where) our future is. No other news at the moment.
Big HELLO to all of you out there especially Adams family on the other side of the world. Hope you are all keeping well and the weather is getting warmer for you. Lots of love from us both.

Moving on up, movin on out, time to break free...

Nothing can stop me! Sorry about that, the M People lyrics really fit with today's blog!
Adam and I are moving out of our beautiful big house into a small apartment. The "flatmates" have decided that after a year and a half we must move out so they can "work on their relationship." It was a bit of a shock at first but after a cooling off period I have decided that I was getting pretty sick of the constant arguing (theirs) and the tension between them. but here's an idea, dont piss each other off! If you cant be yourself without annoying the crap out of your other half then maybe you should find another half?!?!?!? Is this such a hard concept to grasp? Although, I was in that situation for 7 years before I finally realised things could be different. Its amazing how different and wonderful things can be when your other half fits perfectly.
We are moving in 9 sleeps to our apartment and I will try again to load some photos between now and XMAS 2010 if I can get the damn computer to work!
As of the 18th our new address will be 82C Michael Jones Drive, Flat Bush, Auckland. (no home phone number) Feel free to call around if you are in the area.
