New Car?

Hiya,

If you've been following the posts (not that it would be difficult to when there are only 9!). You may have seen that we were buying a car and the whole thing fell through much to my disappointment. (I did set myself up for the fall though - I should stop putting so much faith in people I dont really know!!) Anywho - Dad called today, he has a car through work that they are looking to flick off. Will find out in the next day or two if I can stop cycling or catching a taxi to work! YIPPEE

Sp'getti Restaurant

I have to tell you about dinner last night. We went to a really great Italian restaurant in Browns Bay called Sp'getti. There were a large group of us consisting of 10 adults and 2 small children. The children were supplied with toys and books as soon as they arrived and their kid size Spaghetti Bol was delivered to the table after about 10 minutes. Live music added a nice touch, not a distraction at all, so much so that Adam didnt realise there was a guy playing the classical guitar until I pointed him out!!

Adam and I shared the carbonara and the Eye Fillet Steak Pasta in Tomato Sauce, both were amazing, the Carbonara was likely to be the best I'd had, ever! Desserts were great with typical Italian choices. We shared the Chocolate & Baileys Mousse and a Tiramasu and thoroughly enjoyed both. The Mousse often sells out we are told so I was lucky to have one of the only 4 allocated to our table.

Mains run anywhere from $18.50ish for pasta/Pizza to $29.00 for the Snapper of the day. Desserts average around $9.50 A large selection of wine and beer was also available. Please click HERE for their website.

Another Reason to Stay at the Pub

I should’ve stayed at the pub last night. Stupidly went home to cook dinner and sliced my thumb open on a tin. 2 hours and a tetanus shot later we finally called it a night! See…..pubs are good for you!

Immaculate Conception?

Friday was the day that I learnt there is a modern day belief in the “immaculate conception”. I work with a girl, who we shall call Tiffany. Friday at morning tea we were having a coffee and the topic of conversation inevitably turned to marriage and babies. This conversation introduced us all to the idea of “backorder babies”.

“Tiffany” proceeded to tell us that her friend had a sister that was 9 months older than her. 9 months older we all pondered. “Gosh, they must have been right back at it when they left the hospital” we all chimed in half joking. Tiffany, in a very serious voice told us that the new Mum hadn’t even left the hospital and was already pregnant. How can that be we asked? “Well, they must have “done it” before she went into hospital to give birth and the baby was just waiting there” Tiffany exclaimed as though we were all retarded. That was it; the thought of babies on a sort of biological backorder sent those that weren’t speechless trying not to wet their pants laughing.

Woo Hoo

First comments received! Thanks Sis, and random anonymous person!!!!
Not much to write tonight after spending the day getting the google search bar sorted - yes I am retarded but I'm lovable. A little bit gutted though, we were meant to be buying a car off my old boss. It's been going on for about 2.5 months now and it was suppoed to be next week that we got it. Got a call today to say that she wasnt selling the car now! aarrgghhh...spent all that time waiting and putting off other good offers and it's fallen through. Will have to get out the trade & exchange and go on a car hunt.
Hopefully things will be more exciting and positive tomorrow, it is Friday after all!!!

Soo... what do you think?

(A view of the Auckland Harbour)

If you could choose something to make a mockumentary/short film about, what would it be??

Adam, our friend Mike and I have our thinking caps on at the moment asking ourselves that same question. We are keen to get something started to work on over the year, a bit of a project you could say. Keen for any ideas, although no one is probably even reading this, you never know, I'm throwing it out there.

Hey all.
I'm back again. At work at the moment, completely uninspired, thinking about what life would be like if I was a fairy with fairy dust and everything!), I know its a random thought but getting tired of checking the fabric content of my current workload. Who would have thought that fashion could be so boring. I always loved clothes and shopping for them until I got this job and I came to the realisation that the behind the scenes stuff is soo boring. No wonder people in the fashion sector are full of personality - they have to be to stop themselves from rotting away in a pile of 98% Cotton, 2% elastane denim, dying slowly of boredom.
Wont be putting any photos on today as the system at work is less advanced than my mobile phone which isnt a good sign. Might do some tonight if the mood strikes.
see ya
